Bro, do you even vibe code? The fuck is vibe coding? Welcome to Simplified Sparky Marketing. It has been brought to my attention that in recent weeks, every Tom, Dick, and Harry, anybody that's trying to get out of their job has become a vibe coding bro. What a vibe coder is, is somebody that doesn't have a fucking clue what they're doing. They will go to an AI software, follow some prompts, and then they'll start developing software. Now, this is easy to do, but it's extremely difficult to do, and I'm gonna tell you why. Two friends, two very close friends that are sparkies that have been developing their own software very recently. Now, not only that, I have played around with my own software, and I have played around with developing tools for the members that I work with. Recently, I have developed an hourly rate calculator. I'll actually put a link in that below, because what I want to do is eradicate the noise, make it extremely easy for you as the electrician to figure out your hourly rate in under five minutes. And I shit you not, you will do it in under five minutes, if not less. And I'll drop-- I'm gonna do a little training. You know, I fuck it. I'll put a little bit of a training over it of how to use it correctly, and I'll link the tool underneath, and I'll link all that in the description below, and you can get it, grab it. And what I want it to do, okay, is scare the fuck out of you to be like, "Oh, shit, I do need to charge that much." That's the sole purpose of this, is to go, "Bollocks, I, I, I didn't realize that." That's my purpose of this tool for you. So I'll link that underneath so you can go grab that. Now, on to the podcast. I met with a good friend of mine, Jacob, last night. I've mentioned him a few times in the podcast from Robot Electrical. If you're not following him, check out his stuff. I'll actually put a link to his, uh, Instagram page underneath as well. He is... He's a scientist. He's a mad scientist, is what I would describe him as. And he has spent, I, I shit you not, not days, not weeks, but months developing his own software, which I'm not gonna tell you exactly what it is, but it is related to electricians, and it is related to electrical work and making electricians' lives easier in specific jobs that they do in regards to, like, quoting stuff on the job And he showed me the software last night, and it's extremely impressive. And yeah, it, it's something that he can, he can definitely make money off, and it's gonna be very interesting to see his journey, and I really hope that he becomes a multimillionaire because of this. But this is the issue with people. Um, Jacob is very special. He's very unique that he fixates on things like this. Similar to me, I, I get something, I grab it, and I run with it. But what's happening is people are kind of sticking a toe in the water. They're playing around with these softwares, and then they're putting them live. And I've got another mate that's developing a similar software, but it's something that's gonna help his business. In fact, he's developed it to a point where he's gotten rid of a software that he was using that was costing him, like, $100 or $200 a month because he's basically replaced it with the software that he is, he's built himself. Now, with this, what is happening with your, your average Joe Blows, and I'm starting to see it more and more and more, is people trying to sell you bullshit that is an undercooked software. So anybody can build a software. You can go away today after this podcast and fuck around with AI and build a software And you can build it and it'll look pretty, but where the issue lies is all the moving parts don't really move is the problem. So you have to go, you've got to test, measure, pressure test the whole system to make sure when you click this button, that thing happens next. When you go to the thing that happens next, if you click up, will it actually go up or will it go sideways? These are the little things and tweaks that take months and months and months and years to develop. Now, for instance, when the likes of ServiceM8 do a launch, generally around September or August, so it's going to be coming up quite soon for their new releases, and what happens is they will tease something out. For example, last year they teased the AI assistant inside in ServiceM8. Now, it's out there, but it's kind of very minimal and you have to be on a list to get it, and the reason they didn't just fling this out into the open is because they know there's going to be some blips, there's going to be glitches, there's going to be errors, that this software isn't going to work correctly from the get-go. And this is the issue, guys. This is the, the fucking issue with these vibe code bros, and I've seen it. I've seen it firsthand on the electricians forum on Facebook. There's a gentleman... And look, it might be the best software ever. I haven't used it, but I'm just putting my two cents on the situation. It could be the best fucking software on the planet. I don't know. But this is the issue. This guy has developed a software that is replacing, I can't remember the name of it, but basically it's, it's a checklist. It's a form checklist software that you can just go to your electrical jobs, you can do like safety checks, you can do tests and stuff like that, and it's a subscription. It might be, let's just say it's $100 a month. But this guy has basically taken that idea, inspiration, developed his own software because he was sick of paying for it, allegedly, and now he is charging a cheaper amount. Let's just say it's $10 a month. But let's put a hypothetical out there. Let's say you sign up to that software, you get rid of the old software for the forms and stuff like that. This thing isn't fully cooked, I'd be presuming, unless it's fully pressure tested, it's not gonna glitch, it's not gonna break down, and you go and you get rid of that old software. You'll possibly lose your old documents and stuff like that because you back this product and you go and you use it. Then you start using it, and then what's gonna happen is, I don't know, maybe he'll take a break for two months, he'll go on holidays, and then you've got a glitch in the software and something happens, and he's not aware of it until you make him aware of it. And then another thing arises, and this is why when you buy professional software that's been around for many, many years, they've got a team of developers, they've got automations and stuff in the background going daily that it makes sure that these glitches and blips are ironed out. So I think it's, it's very important that before you ditch a software and you start using some dude's fucking thing that he made in his mother's spare room, just be sure that you are not gonna fall into the trap of like, "Oh, this is a cheaper software than, you know, I'm gonna pay $5 a month as opposed to $30 a month," 'cause it will come back to bite you in the ass, and what might happen is that person might give up on that software because they get distracted by the next shiny object, and next thing that software is shut down. You've put all your information on there, you've put your client's information on there, and now it's useless, and it doesn't even merge across to another software. So this whole podcast has been basically tailored around, again, what I like to do is protect electricians from the pathways that I would have went down. I would have 100%, if I had just left my employment or I was leaving my employment and I seen some dude pop up on a forum and I-- like offering these services, offering these softwares for a cheap amount of money, I would be like, "Why would I get ServiceM8? I'm just gonna get fucking FraudM8, and that's gonna be fucking $5 a month, and it's gonna be way cheaper than me buying this thing for $100 a month," even though this is a proven software that's been around probably 10-plus years, and they've got a whole support team in the back end. So that is it, guys. Don't fall into the trap of shiny objects because it is, it's going to cost you a lot of money in the long run, and you're gonna double handle, double pay.
